Geek Pride
I didn't want to do it, but I had to. Apple released an important security update today, and it required a restart. I tried to ignore by force-quitting Software Update, but some weird things started happening... Before I restarted, I saved the output of uptime:
4:57PM up 31 days, 3 mins, 4 users, load averages: 0.69, 1.85, 1.97
For those who don't know, uptime is a command which tells you for long your computer has been running since the last restart. In the world of geeks, this is a big source of pride. (Our primary server over at Retrix Hosting is 291 days at the time of writing, so it's not like I have to completely start over...)
